Public Health + Cross-Sector Experience

The Public Health + series was conceived to highlight the innovative places where public health intersects with other disciplines. Throughout the year, we have heard from a variety of speakers whose work touches public health. A recurring theme in many of the conversations highlighted the core values and skillsets in public health and their importance across disciplines. What better way to explore this idea than through a conversation about cross-sector experience? Having a diverse range of professional experiences creates valuable leadership skills, knowledge and translation ability that helps break down silos.

Join us as we talk with Niles Friedman, MPH, executive advisor and strategist at Stars Insights and U.S. Digital Response about his diverse range of experience and how that has helped him address some of the world's greatest public health challenges. We'll explore his work across a variety of sectors -- from consulting firms like Deloitte to the state of California, a global startup, the Obama administration, and more. The conversation will be facilitated by Meaghan Kennedy, MPH, founder of Orange Sparkle Ball, and is final conversation in this year's Public Health + series.
