The GPHA Annual Meeting and Conference is the state’s largest public health gathering of students, public health employees and community partners of public health. Members of the Orange Sparkle Ball team will be presenting “Precision Public Health: Empowering Communities with Hyperlocal Data for Targeted Interventions and Improved Outcomes,” a workshop focused building an actionable framework for collection and governance of community-owned data.

Meaghan Kennedy, Michaela Bonnett, and Odiraa Okala from the OSB team will be collaborating with Teri Garstka from the Social Innovation Lab at University of Kansas to lead a workshop guiding public health professionals through definition of community level components, creation of frameworks for actionable community owned data and resulting insights, and design of precision interventions at the community level.
