As designers, our job is to see the larger system and utilize storytelling levers to impact change. At Orange Sparkle Ball we use storytelling to eliminate gaps in understanding and align points of view. These gaps in understanding can be around results, a future vision, a product, or even someone else’s perspective. In this talk, we will show you several examples of the methods we use to storytell the gap.
Conference attendees will also have the chance to share their stories through our storytelling exhibit What Is Your Story? (Instagram: @what_isyourstory) on October 12. On a personal level, we believe sharing stories can lead to radical empathy, promote deep interpersonal connections, and demonstrate we are more similar than we are different. Sharing has the power to storytell the gap in our understanding of one another.
Ashley will also be participating in a Q&A event on October 13.
