We often don’t think of using open source data to create public health tools. Luckily, the U.S. Census Open Innovation Lab does! The Opportunity Project is a program created by the U.S. Census Open Innovation Lab to help teams use federal open data to solve the nation’s toughest challenges. Using a series of innovation sprints, participants are guided through the development of digital tools focused on solving community problems.
Join us in learning from Lorena Molina-Irizarry, the Director of Operations at the U.S. Census Open Innovation Lab. Lorena will outline The Opportunity Project and the promise of open source data tools. This conversation will be facilitated by Rollins School of Public Health alum Elizabeth Sprouse of Double Lantern Informatics and is part of the Public Health + series, which examines innovative places where public health intersects with other disciplines.
